ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY OF BRADFORD

The University of Bradford became the UKs 40th University in 1966.

Since opening its doors, the university has continued to grow and today hosts almost 10,000 students from 150 nations. In 2018, the university became the first British University of Sanctuary, building on its history and culture of diversity and inclusion.

Today, the university is committed to driving sustainable social and economic development through outstanding teaching, research and innovation to deliver the best experience for the student body.

OPPORTUNITIES TO BE ACTIVE

Unique Fitness - Gym

On-campus gym facilities at the University of Bradford. This is a two-floor gym with different fitness equipment including; functional space, cardio machines, free weights up to 50kg and fixed resistance machines. Click here for more information.

Unique Fitness - Swimming

Unique Fitness is home to the only swimming pool in Bradford City Centre. This is a 25m pool, check the website for opening times for general swimming, lane swimming and unique fitness sessions. Click here for more information.

Running Group

Our very own Nusha is leading a running group on the Tuesday morning of the Conference event. This will be a 5K route that begins outside the front of the Richmond Building. Meet at 7.30am.

The GreenLine Mile

Bradford City Council has developed six mile-long walking routes across Bradford to stimulate local short walks. Route 1 leads us right around the City and University Campus! Click here for more information.
